Biota Pet Care is looking for passionate pet lovers in Orangeville, Ontario to join our team who are interested in making anywhere from 100-500$/ week on average as supplemental income,  by caring for all kinds of pets and getting your weekly dose of pet snuggles! 

**​We are looking for 2 pet lovers (or more) - Pet Care Professional 1: 10:30am-1:30pm; & Pet Care Professional 2: 12pm-3pm

Why you may not want to join our team:

• Unpredictable Schedule: Client needs change weekly, and so may your schedule, offering no guaranteed hours per day/week. It also may take some time to build up your schedule at first.

• This position is for people wanting supplemental income only. (Room to grow within company for the right person)

• Weather preparedness: We work in all types of weather

• Travel: You will need to drive to clients houses to provide all pet care services.

• You may have to clean up messy situations, and pick up dog poop

• You may have to deal with pet emergencies (you will be trained on this).

Requirements

• Must be an ANIMAL lover, and enjoy your time spent outdoors

• Over 18 yrs. old and pass a background check

• Driver’s license and your own reliable vehicle

• Live in Orangeville, Ontario

• Willing to travel within a 10 km radius of home

• Have a smartphone (preferably with unlimited data, and texting and calling.)

• Comfortable handling pets of all shapes and sizes

• Comfortable and prepared to walk (and drive) in all weather conditions 

• Willing to be trained in things other than pet sitting and dog walking a plus(conducting meet and greets, light admin work, boots on the ground marketing, etc). 

• You should have another source of income as this job does not guarantee hours

• Able to commit to this position for at least 6 months from date of hire

• Available for some midday hours (10:30am-3pm),  2-5 days a week (We are willing to work with the right candidate if your availability falls outside these hours – eventually we may need a 7am-10am person and a 3pm-7pm person).

Hours/Pay rate:  

New employees will make 18.25$/hr for their first 3 months employed including training hours (approx. 40 hours of training including online training videos, pet first aid, and in person training). At 3 months pay is raised to $19; 6 months $19.50; and 1 year $20 (with incremental raises every 12 months if performing well). 

• Mileage will be paid at the standard per km rate. (Hourly rate plus mileage would put the total hourly rate somewhere between 20-23$/hour depending how much you drive between clients).

• Clients love to tip a job well done!

• You will receive a $10 bonus as a referral incentive for every pet sit client you refer to Biota Pet Care that completes their first visit. And a 30$ bonus for every dog walking client referred who completes their first week of walks!
